From the Desk of the President
(From the Flat-Coat Times) Hi everyone, Hope the first part of summer has been good both to our members and all your four footed friends. I know many of our members have had a lot of success showing in breed, obedience, rally, agility and field. A BIG congratulations to Cindy Tulpa and Ch. Flatford's Eddie Murphy on attaining their Master Hunter title. Congratulations to all that have finished titles so far this year and here's hoping you finish many more . Our agility trial was a HUGE success. A big thank you to all who worked or supported the trial in one way or another. Joyce Brackney once again did a wonderful job of organizing the trial. Heather Dawson did an awesome job on the raffle, bringing in $3,000.00 dollars on it alone. To all who donated funds or items to the raffle a GREAT BIG THANKS.. Heather put together some nice baskets with a wide assortment of different themes from coffee, to movie , to chocolate . You name it was probably there as well as the usual dog stuff we can't live without. Lynda Spangler organized a great BBQ on Sat night which lots of members and people who were at the trial attended. We all had a good time and the food was delicious. I also like to thank my co-chair ,Salomeja Garolis , for all her hard work in the hospitality room. We had several nice comments on how we keep everyone so well fed. To Cindy Tulpa, Pat Boydston and Laura Fordice for being down on the agility floor doing whatever needed to be done. Mike and Donna Keeter who not only manned their booth , but also helped out in the hospitality room , freeing up Sal and I so we could take the time to run to the store . The trial was well attend with over 600 runs a couple of the days. THe club has received many comments about this trail and how people love coming back every year. Next year's is already in the works. Plan on attending next year. We can always use the help and you'll have a chance to get titles on your dogs. Have fun with your flat coat friends, enjoying hiking , swimming and whatever activities you both love to do.
